NAVTEX facilities transferred to the Far Eastern Basin Branch
Under Resolution No 1346 of October 30, 2017 issued by the Russian Federal Agency for State Property Management Territorial Administration for Moscow NAVTEX facilities and the short-wave band point of the system for transmission of navigation safety information have been assigned to the enterprise. Pursuant to FSUE “Rosmorport” Order No 491 of November 20, 2017, the facilities have been placed under management of the Far Eastern Basin Branch.
The NAVTEX facilities comprise:
- antenna-mast constructions, technical buildings and structures in the settlement of Rybachyi, Nadezhdinsky District, Primorye Territory;
- antenna-mast constructions, technical buildings and power lines in Nakhodka, Primorye Territory;
- a building of the receiving radio center on Popov Island, Vladivostok, Primorye Territory;
- diesel-engine room and two technical buildings in Vladivostok, Primorye Territory.
The short-wave band point of the system for transmission of navigation safety information consists of
- antenna and mast constructions, technical buildings and structures in the settlement of Rybachyi, Nadezhdinsky District, Primorye Territory;
- a technical building and radio electronic equipment in Vladivostok.
By using the NAVTEX facility the Far Eastern Basin Branch sends navigational and meteorological messages within the radius of 230 nautical miles, from the NAVTEX location area in Vladivostok located at the point with the coordinates of Latitude=43°23'00''N and Longitude=131°54'00''Е to coastal areas of the sea with the aid of narrow-band type-printing telegraphy on the frequency of 518 khz.
The short-wave band point of the system for transmission of navigation safety information is used by the Branch to send navigational and hydrometeorological information via short waves to remote areas of the sea NAVAREA XIII (the areas of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Barents Sea) by use of narrow-band type-printing telegraphy with protective coding.
The facilities given to the Far Eastern Basin Branch were built between 1970 and 1987 and earlier they were under operating control of FSBI “The Fisheries and Communication Monitoring System Center”.
At the time of property transfer to the Far Eastern Basin Branch, the facilities have been in satisfactory working condition.
