Compulsory Regulations in the Seaport of Vladivostok Amended

The amendments have been made to the Compulsory Regulations in the Seaport of Vladivostok under Ministry of Transport of Russian FederationOrder No. 135 of April 04, 2017. The Regulations were approved by the Order No. 239 of July 02, 2013 of the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation.

In particular, the amendments are related to establishing borders for approaches toward the seaport of Vladivostok. The amendments are aimed at increasing navigation safety and navigation regulation in the specified areas in accordance with the requirements of the Compulsory Regulations in the Seaport of Vladivostok.

In addition, the list of sites for vessel mooring has been expanded in the seaport of Vladivostok by installing the roads transshipment complex (RTC-1) for vessel mooring that carries out oil and (or) oil products transshipment, as well as transshipment of general cargoes from vessel to vessel in accordance with the Rules for the Provision of Cargo Transshipment Services from Vessel to Vessel  approved by the Order No. 68 of April 04, 2009 of the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation. Vessel mooring and unloading may be carried out on the RTC-1 by vessels with the gauge length of 275 m and the permissible draft of 17.53 m.

The amendments to the Compulsory Regulations in the Seaport of Vladivostok also concern the overall length of vessels which can call at the seaport (except for Bolshoy Kamen Bay), that has increased from 300 m to 400 m, and the changes of draft from 13 m to 18 m. A decision to this effect has been taken upon completion of examining additional anchoring places located on the roads of the seaport of Vladivostok, required depths and operational zones that allow vessels of big dimensions to make safe calls at the seaport for replenishment, delivery and bunkering.

The Compulsory Regulations in the Seaport of Vladivostok have been supplemented with information on the new Area No 110 within the boundaries of which underwater cables have been laid. Amendments have been also made to the boundaries of Anchoring Station No. 164.

The order of the Ministry of Transport of Federation came into effect on May 09, 2017 according to the established procedure.
