FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Branch Discussed Prospects for Development of Far Eastern Seaports with Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fishery of the Republic of Korea

A research group of authorized representatives of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fishery of the Republic of Korea made a visit to Primorye Territory in the framework of implementation of MoU signed on 22 January 2014 by the Ministry of Transport of Russia and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fishery of the Republic of Korea in the field of port infrastructure development and modernization.

Under request of the FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director, on 2 March 2015 in the conference hall of the Far-Eastern Basin Branch its Director Alexander Kiselev met representatives of the Korean delegation headed by Util Tech Cop. Ltd. President Suh Jung Hun, as well as representatives of CJSC DNIIMF and FSBE Administration of the Primorye Territory and Eastern Arctic Seaports.

During the meeting, which proceeded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, its participants intensively discussed the current condition and prospects for the development and modernization of port infrastructure of the Far Eastern seaports, in particular in Primorye Territory.

The Korean guests reviewed presentation of the project for prospective development of the Russian seaports in the Far East, and exchanged opinions with their Russian counterparts, who answered all their questions.

In the end the participants of the meeting expressed their readiness for a more massive and fruitful cooperation.
