By the order of Rosmorrechflot No. ZD-462/2-r of October 8, 2021, the information on the seaport of Vanino in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation has been amended.

The adjustments are caused by the increase in the number of berths in the seaport due to the commissioning of berth No. 1 of the transshipment complex for coal transshipment with a length of 325.19 meters in August 2020. Accordingly, the total length of the moorage wall in the seaport, which is currently more that 3,7 km long, has also been amended in the Registry.

The newly built berth No. 1 of the coal terminal can handle vessels with length of 247 meters, width of 40.8 meters and draught in cargo of 15.25 meters.

In order to ensure maneuvering and safe approach of cargo vessels to the berth of the coal terminal, the operational water areas of the coal terminal berths built in the seaport of Vanino and the water area of the turning spot with a total area of 28.7 hectares and the bottom marks of -19.3 meters were put into operation by the Vanino Branch in December 2020.

At present, the Vanino Branch is carrying out works of the second stage, during which it is supposed, after completing the adjustment of the design documentation for the construction of the facility in order to change the place of dredging soil storage, to perform dredging works in the operational water area of the ​​berth No. 2 and the water area of ​​the turning spot on the area of ​​10.32 hectares, in order to bring depths to 19.8 meters. This will ensure safe maneuvering and mooring of vessels up to 292 meters long, up to 45 meters wide and draught in cargo of up to 17.1 meters to the berth No. 2 of the coal terminal.

The order of Rosmorrechflot also specifies the indicators of the intake capacity of cargo terminals and the size of open warehouses in the seaport of Vanino, as well as the list of operators of the sea terminals operating in the seaport of Vanino.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” Vanino Branch has 19 berths in the seaport of Vanino which is 86.4 % of their total number in the seaport. The length of the moorage wall of the branch’s berths is 85.1 % of the total length of the moorage wall in the seaport of Vanino.

Of the total number of berths of the Vanino Branch in the seaport of Vanino, 15 berths have been delivered in accordance with the established procedure to sea terminals operators, 3 berths are used directly by the branch, and one berth is offered by the branch for lease to all interested organizations.

According to the results of 2021, almost 7 million tons of cargo, or 19.7 % of the total volume of cargo transshipment in the seaport, were handled by the sea terminals operators, renting berths, at the berths of the branch.
