Replenishment of the Vanino Branch Fleet

The fleet of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Vanino branch has been replenished with a new azimuth tug of the ASD 3010 project of ice class Arc4. The "Truzhenik" tug became the third tug in the Vanino branch and the seventh vessel in the entire fleet of the branch.

"Truzhenik" tug is one of four tugs that were delivered to Vladivostok on board the specialized vessel IMKE on June 9, 2020.

The tug is a single-deck vessel with a reinforced hull, centrally located wheelhouse and engine room, as well as azimuthal aft rudder propellers.

The tug is designed for year-round operation. The ice reinforcement of the tug hull presupposes the possibility of working in severe ice conditions in the waters of seaports and in the open sea in accordance with the requirements of the classification society. The vessel has fire extinguishing equipment to fight fires on other vessels and onshore facilities. The tugboat is designed to carry out towing and mooring operations of large-tonnage vessels in the water areas of seaports and directly at the berths, has the Escort mark is included in the class symbol, which means the ability to escort large-capacity vessels, including tankers carrying crude oil and oil products. Azimuth aft rudder propellers ensure the vessel's maneuverability, including at low speeds, which is especially effective when working in confined waters.

The vessel is equipped with a bow towing winch with a bollard pull of 36 tons. The ship's power plant provides the tugboat with a maximum forward tractive force of up to 56 tons.

The tug can sail independently in thin ice up to 80 cm thick.

The sea trials confirmed the full compliance with the specified technical characteristics and the tug's readiness for operation. The specialists of the Vanino branch checked the condition of the equipment, the functioning of the automation, control, navigation and communication systems of the vessel, and confirmed the specified technical and operational characteristics of the equipment and the vessel as a whole.

The vessel is currently in the seaport of Vladivostok. On July 21, 2020, the State Flag of the Russian Federation was raised on the tug in a solemn atmosphere.

The Vanino branch plans to use the tug in the seaport of Vanino. However, in the period until 2022, the tug will be temporarily relocated to the seaport of Sabetta, where it will be used in the area of the Utrenny seaport (section 2 of the water area of the seaport of Sabetta).
