New certificate of Vanino VTS conformance received

Based on the results of Rosmorrechflot surveying FSUE “Rosmorport” has received a new certificate No. VTS-3/1-3159-2019 of October 08, 2019 which confirms the conformance of the Vanino vessel tracking management system to the Requirements IMO A 857(20) and Russia’s Transport Ministry Order No 226 of July 23, 2015.

Earlier, in 2006, 2010 and 2014 Vanino VTS also successfully underwent surveying on the results of which the respective certificates of conformance had been issued.

The Vanino VTS complex includes the VTS center, Radar Post No. 1, the Severny Mys (Cape) radar post, the Muchukey Dua Mys (Cape) radar post and the Kekurnaya Sopka radar post.

By using Vanino VTS vessels are provided comprehensive navigational services in the zone of operation. These services include:
- detecting vessels on the approaches towards the VTS zone of operation, making contacts with it and receiving data on a vessel;
- giving navigational, operative and other information to vessels on the initiative of VTS operators or at the request of a vessel;
- organizing the movement of vessels, including planning and establishing modes of movement in the VTS zone of operation;
- controlling the movement of vessels and positioning of vessels at mooring stations and single mooring points.

Every year a total of 4.5 vessels are under control of the Vanino VTS zone of operation. A total of 3.5 vessels call at the seaport of Vanino.
