Boundaries of seaport of Vanino changed

Pursuant to Russian Government Resolution No 2815-r of November 26, 2019 the boundaries of the seaport of Vanino have been changed.

The corrections are related to deletion of errors made when determining new boundaries of the water area of the seaport of Vanino under Russian Resolution No 1532-r of July 13, 2019.

The changes made to the boundaries of the seaport of Vanino in July 2019 have been conditioned by the need to implement a project for building a transport hub for coal transshipment on the northern coast of the Muchke Bay.

The joint investment project realized by VaninoTransUgol LLC and FSUE “Rosmorport” will allow for creating a modern sea terminal for coal transshipment in the amount of 12 million tons at its first stage (till the year 2020) and in the amount of 24 million tons in full development (till the year 2022).

The investment project in the part of the FSUE “Rosmorport” obligations envisages carrying out dredging operations in the operational water area of Berth No 1 and Berth No 2 of the seaport of Vanino in the Muchke Bay in two stages: on the first stage over an area of 28.7 ha the seabed levels have been brought to -19.3 meters; on the second stage over an area of 33.7 ha the seabed levels have been brought to -21.2 meters in order to ensure design depths for the safe approach toward and mooring of vessels of CН-163, СН-115, СН-70 and СН-40 types. The anchor station over an area of 10.9 square kilometers has been planned with the depths of 21-30 meters for safe mooring of vessels. Marine lights on a pier and six floating protecting buoys are also planned to be installed.

More information on the works in the operational area of Berth No 1 and Berth No 2 in the seaport of Vanino under the implementation of the investment project for building a transport hub for coal transshipment on the northern coast of the Muchke Bay is available in the section “Current Projects for Development of the Port Infrastructure Facilities of the Vanino Branch”.
