The Second World War ended on September 2, 1945 after signing the act of unconditional surrender of Japan aboard Missouri US battleship. The end of the war was facilitated by a crushing defeat of the Kwantung Army in Manchukuo, which was caused by the Soviet troops to Japanese militarist invaders during two weeks in August 1945.
