On May 9, 2016 in the course of the ceremonial events dedicated to celebrating the anniversary of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in Vanino, the employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Vanino Branch took part in the rally and laid a memorial wreath to the Victory Obelisk.

The Victory Obelisk was erected at the initiative of the staff of the seaport of Vanino and inaugurated on May 9, 1975 under the gun salute to mark the 30th Anniversary of the  Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

As a part of the people's patriotic intiative “Immortal Regiment”, the branch employees also marched in procession through the central streets of Vanino with the photos of their heroic relatives who were the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
