Order of the Government of Russia No. 2178-r dated 28.10.2015 has extended boundaries of Vanino Seaport (Khabarovsk Territory) by including land lots zoned for construction of marine coal terminal with capacity of 15 ml tons a year, located near Byrny, land lots that are still being developed.

The project of marine coal terminal construction is carried out within the federal target program «Social and economic development of the Far East and Transbaikalia up to 2018».

Cooperation between FSUE “Rosmorport” and LLC «Far-Eastern Seaport of Vanino» is provided by agreement on cooperation, signed at Transport week 2013 forum.

As stated in the documentation on the project, that got approvement No. 1517-14/ГГЭ-9579/04 dated 02.12.2014 registered by FAE «Glavgosexpertiza of Russia», the private investor will construct a marine terminal, parts of railway for specific use, roads with length of 2.5 km, and engineering infrastructure facilities.

Non-budgetary funds will be used to construct a check point, operational basin with area of 0.001 km² and bottom levels from -16.9 to -19.4 metres, install one on-shore and two floating buoys, which LLC «Far-Eastern Seaport of Vanino» will give into the Russian Federation property without taking any compensation.

Approximate costs will be more than 19.7 billion rubles.

It is planned to start construction in 2016.
