Information on the seaport Big Port of Saint Petersburg in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation amended

By Rosmorrechflot Order dated 24.07.2023 No. KA-285-r the information on the seaport Big Port of Saint Petersburg in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation has been amended.

The adjustments concern the clarification of the number of berths and the length of the berthing wall in the seaport due to the commissioning and decommissioning of several berths used by separate operators of the terminals. Also, berth No. 8 of the Bronka multifunctional transshipment complex marine terminal has been included in the number of the seaport’s berths. The berth, built and commissioned in 2020, is designed for transshipment of containers, large-tonnage and heavy equipment, general rolling and bulk cargo.

Due to the change in the number of berths in the seaport Big Port of Saint Petersburg, the cargo terminals capacity indicators have been adjusted as well.

By the order of Rosmorrechflot, the maximum width of vessels that can make calls at the seaport Big Port of Saint Petersburg, in particular to the berths of the Bronka marine multifunctional transshipment complex, has also been increased, which became possible thanks to the use of transshipment equipment that allows handling vessels with a width of 50 m.

The document also clarifies the list and names of separate operators of marine terminals operating in the seaport Big Port of Saint Petersburg.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch has 72 berths in the seaport Big Port of Saint Petersburg, which is 49 % of their total number in the seaport. The length of the berthing wall of the branch berths is 12.6 km, which is 58.2 % of the total length of the berthing wall in the seaport.

Of the total number of berths of the branch, 55 berths have been leased to operators of marine terminals in accordance with the established procedure, and 15 berths are used by the branch for its own needs. Two berths, No. 69 and No. 70, are offered by the branch to interested organizations for rent.

In 8 months of 2023, 19.3 million tons of cargo were handled at the leased berths of the branch – it is 62.1 % of the total volume of transshipment in the seaport Big Port of Saint Petersburg. The volumes of cargo transshipment at the berths of the branch increased by 16.3 % in the current year compared to the similar period of 2022.
