On May 7-8, employees of the Kaliningrad Department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch together with yachtsmen of the Kaliningrad Region took part in a patriotic sailing cruise along the Kaliningrad Bay from Kaliningrad to Baltiysk in memory of Soviet soldiers, fallen during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.

Participants of the cruise laid flowers at the mass grave of soldiers who died in the battles for Pillau (Baltiysk) on the Baltic Spit. At the flower-laying ceremony, the participants honored the fallen heroes with a minute’s silence, and the yachtsmen lowered wreaths into the Baltic Sea in memory of the fallen sailors.
