On the eve of the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the staff of the Ust-Luga department of the North-Western basin branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" participated in a wreath-laying ceremony on May 6, 2022 at the permanent firing point No. 8 of the Koshkinsk defense zone of the 21st Kingisepp fortified area on the right bank of the Luga River, located near the village of Koshkino.

The Head of the Ust-Luga department Yury Akhmedov greeted the participants and congratulated everyone with the forthcoming Great Victory Day.

Employees of the Ust-Luga department laid wreaths at the foot of the monument and honored the memory of all the heroes who died during battle with a minute of silence.

The tradition of laying wreaths at this monument every year began in 2015. That year employees of the Ust-Luga department participated in a volunteer clean-up to tidy the territory around the permanent fortification and set up a memorial plaque with the names of those who died there.
