Expansion of the territory of the seaport of Primorsk

By order of the Government of Russia dated October 18, 2021 № 2924-р, a decision was made to expand the seaport of Primorsk by creating an artificial land plot intended for the placement of capital construction objects that are part of the new terminal under construction for transshipment of coal, containers, mineral fertilizers, agricultural products and other types of cargo, with a design capacity of 35.6 million tons per year.

The created artificial land plot with an area of 29.28 hectares is intended for the construction of the corresponding infrastructure facilities of the sea terminal on it.

As part of the implementation of this project, in accordance with the draft investment agreement planned to be concluded between FSUE "Rosmorport" and LLC "Primorskiy UPK", it is also planned to create federal property objects in the seaport of Primorsk, designed to ensure the safety of navigation. In particular, it is planned to build two operational water areas: in the area of the coal transshipment complex, with bottom marks of -17 m and navigation depths of almost 16 m, and in the area of Signalny cape, with bottom marks of -19 m and navigation depths of 17.9 m. In addition, navigation equipment will be installed on the water areas under construction and on the shore, which will allow safe approach, maneuvering and mooring to the berths of the terminal under construction for vessels up to 400 m in length, with a cargo draft of up to 16.5 m and a deadweight of up to 200 thousand tons.

The commissioning of federal property facilities planned for construction in the seaport of Primorsk is expected at the end of 2023. The project is planned to be fully completed in 2030.
