As part of the environmental measures provided for in the project documentation for the construction of a sea terminal for receiving cruise ships and cargo and passenger vessels at the Kaliningrad seaport in the area of Pionersky the Kaliningrad department of the FSUE "Rosmorport" North-Western Basin Branch has carried out regular remedial landscaping works.

In exchange for the previously cut down trees at the construction site in accordance with the terms of the cutting permit issued by the administration of Pionersky, in early November with the involvement of a specialized contractor the Kaliningrad Department planted 39 seedlings of pine and 15 seedlings of birch in the city park "Sosnovyi bor".

Earlier, in 2018-2019 by order of the FSUE "Rosmorport" 133 seedlings of pine and 35 seedlings of birch were planted in the city park.

The total number of seedlings to be planted in the city park under the remedial landscaping program is 283.

By the end of this year, the remaining 61 birch seedlings will be planted.

Total expenses of the Kaliningrad Department on the remedial landscaping under the project of sea terminal construction were just over 1 million rubles.
