Deputy Director for Economics and Finances of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Branch Nadezhda Kalashnik met with representatives of the Belgian Consulate-General in Saint Petersburg and the management of the port of Antwerp on September 16, 2019.

Belgium was represented by Belgian Consul-General in Saint Petersburg Hans Timbremont, head of the economic and trade mission of Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia at the Belgian Consul-General in Saint Petersburg Dmitry Gusakov, head of projects of the affiliate company of Port of Antwerp International Philippe Droesbeke and other officials.

Kalashnik told the guests about prospects for the development of Russian seaports in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland and key investment projects both completed and already on the way.

Belgian representatives gave a presentation of the port of Antwerp and told about the structure, key functions and services, in particular in the field of consulting and training.

Based on the results of the meeting the parties expressed the hope for further cooperation under the memorandum of understanding signed between FSUE “Rosmorport” and Port of Antwerp International in December 2012.
