The 1000th Ferry Calls at Railroad Ferry Complex in Kaliningrad Seaport

The 1000th ferryboat named Ambal has called and been operated at the FSUE “Rosmorport” railroad ferry complex in Kaliningrad Seaport on 12 April 2015.

From the first day when the complex started its operation in the year 2007 the Kaliningrad Branch and nowadays already the North-Western Basin Branch Kaliningrad Department have performed loading and unloading operations with:
- almost 36.2 thousand pieces of cars and caterpillar vehicles;
- more than 83.4 thousand of railroad cars,
and provided services for almost 26.2 thousand passengers.

The total volume of handling operations for these eight years counts almost 7 mln tons.

At the moment at the complex there are such lines as “Ust-Luga – Baltiysk”, “Ust-Luga – Baltiysk – Zasnits – Ust-Luga” at which the following ferries are used:
- Ambal motorboat;
- Baltiysk motorboat;
- Petersburg motorboat.
