The Kapitan Plakhin icebreaker of the FSUE "Rosmorport" North-West Basin Branch rescued 20 fans of winter fishing from the drift ice in the Gulf of Finland.
 
In the night from 6 to 7 March 2012 the Kapitan Plakhin icebreaker started for the area of drift ice, which separated from the land-fast ice carrying the fishermen. With the help of the North-West Regional Center of the Emercom of Russia the fishermen were lifted on the board of the icebreaker. The icebreaker delivered all the rescued fishermen, who were in satisfactory condition, to Ust-Luga Seaport.
