From the start of winter navigation 2012-2013 the FSUE "Rosmorport" North-West Basin Branch provides ice advisory services to all interested shipowners in order to give recommendations and advice to the ship masters concerning safe navigation of vessels sailing in caravans with icebreakers or on their own in ice conditions of the Baltic Sea.

The services are rendered by highly qualified specialists of the most experienced pipots of the North-West Basin Branch.

The ice advisory services are provided by the North-West Basin Branch in accordance with the Statute on safe navigation in ice conditions by the ice advisors of the FSUE "Rosmorport" North-West Basin Branch agreed with the Big Port of Saint-Petersburg Master on 17.01.2013 and approved by FSUE "Rosmorport" General Director on 29.01.2013.
