Depths inspection team specialists of the FSUE "Rosmorport" North-West basin branch Kaliningrad department marine service have installed and put into service 2 TideMaster automatic tide level recording gauge produced by British company Valeport Ltd. The tide gauges autonomously measure water level in real-time mode and transmit data to all interested services. Tide gauge № 1 installed in 2010 in the seaport of Kaliningrad improved data collection and transmittion system. Tide gauge № 2 (Izhevskoye village), together with level recorder and Met Pack 2 meteostation, apart from common basic data calculates wind speed and direction.

In 2012 installation of 3rd tide gauge in Baltyisk is planned to compelete the tide gauges installation to increase navigation safety and quality of navigational, hydrographical and dredging works on the Kaliningrad Marine Canal and in Vistula Lagoon.
