The keel-laying ceremony of the buoy laying vessel for the FSUE “Rosmorport” Saint-Petersburg branch

The keel-laying ceremony of the buoy laying vessel project BLV01-LNPP was held at OAO “Zavod “Nizhegorodsky Teplohod” on the 15th of July, 2010. Chief of FSUE “Rosmorport” Fleet Building and Repairs Department V.I. Shtrambrand, chief of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Saint-Petersburg branch Fleet Management and Operations Department O.N. Arbuzov, chairman of the Board of Directors of OAO “Zavod “Nizhegorodsky Teplohod” M.G. Aivazov, General director of OAO “Zavod “Nizhegorodsky Teplohod” S.M. Konovalov, General director of ZAO “Marine Engineering Bureau” G.V. Egorov and others took part in the ceremony.

The project of the vessel was developed by ZAO “Marine Engineering Bureau” against the order of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Saint-Petersburg branch. The construction is carried out by OAO “Zavod “Nizhegorodsky Teplohod”, which won the tender on the buoy laying vessel construction for the FSUE “Rosmorport” Saint-Petersburg branch. FSUE “Rosmorport” finances the construction itself, total cost of the construction – 288.8 million rubles.

The vessel is intended to work on installation and maintenance of floating navigation guards at the approach zones and water areas of ports, participation in oil spills liquidation as an auxiliary transport and for inspection of the sea floor.
