Sea harbor station in the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky receives first cruise line this year

In the morning of June 25, 2018, the “Silver Explorer” cruise liner (flag of the Bahamas Islands) has moored at the pier of the harbor station in the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky becoming the first liner to moor at the pier this year.

Pilots of the Petropavlovsk Branch have provided pilotage of the vessel to the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and its berthing.

A total of 115 foreign tourists from different world countries and about 100 crewmembers have arrived aboard the vessel.

During the stay in the seaport, tourists could go sightseeing in the city, visit museums and temple complexes, see local sights and monuments, and attend exhibitions and a viewing platform on the Petrovskaya Sopka.

The Silver Explorer vessel is a five-star cruise liner. The length of the vessel is 108 meters, the breadth is about 16 meters, and draft is 4.5 meters. The maximal speed of the liner is 14 nautical knots. Captain Margaret Ettlin is the first woman to handle a ship in the history of Silversea Cruises.
