Lighted Floating Warning Sign at Kamchatka River Mouth Removed

In connection with the completion of navigation on November 28, 2013 Petropavlovsk branch successfully held a procedure of removal of the Kamchatka River lighted buoy of BMS-78 type axial (No. 3414) fixed on June 30, 2013.

In the summer navigation period from June to November the lighted buoy is used to indicate the entrance at the mouth of the Kamchatka River. It is settled in 1.8 miles to South-South-West from the Reydovy lighthouse. The exact location of its installation varies depending on the position of the channel on the reef. 
  
The removed floating warning sign was delivered for a period of winter storage to the Seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

In early June 2014, before the start of the summer navigation, the floating warning sign will be installed again in accordance with the description "Lights and signs the Pacific coast of Russia" published by the Department of Navigation and Oceanography of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
