Employees of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch take part in a cruising yacht regatta dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory

Employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch took part in a sailing regatta organized by the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory, dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch acted as a partner of the regatta.

The crew of the branch consisting of Evgeny Karpachev, Deputy Director for Capital Construction and Repair, Elena Staino, Head of Capital Investment and Repair Fund Budgeting Department, Vladimir Shatko, Leading Specialist of Power Supply Department, Grigory Grass, pilot of the 1st category, Andrey Panov, driver of the Tuapse Department of the branch, took the 3rd place in the team competition.

In total more than 20 crews of cruising yachts (over 150 athletes) from Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Anapa, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Omsk, Shchelkino, Snezhinsk and Sevastopol took part in the competition.

Among the participants of the regatta were such notable athletes as Ivan Chehlaty, European champion, master of sports of international class, and Pavel Karachev, master of sports, champion of Russia.

During the grand opening of the event on May 2 on the city embankment of Novorossiysk, Evgeny Karpachev took part in the ceremony of presenting a certificate for the purchase of a yacht of the Optimist class to the children's sports school of Novorossiysk. The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch was one of the sponsors of the certificate.

The summing up of the results and the solemn awarding of the winners took place in Anapa on May 6.

The regatta was held in the water areas of three municipalities of the Krasnodar Territory: the hero-city of Novorossiysk, the city of military glory Anapa and the city of military valor Gelendzhik.

The main purpose of the event is the popularization of cruising yachting in the Krasnodar Territory, the development of patriotic education of young people.

In memory of the military valor of the defenders of the Fatherland, who wrote their names in the history of our country, the employees of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch together with the guests of honor laid flowers at the monuments of the Great Patriotic War in each of the cities of the regatta.
