Eysk coastal station of A1 GMDSS marine area successfully passes the re-examination

According to the results of the examination by Rosmorrechflot, FSUE "Rosmorport" has received the certificate No. GMDSS-3/1-3225-2021 as of 10.09.2021 on compliance of the coastal station Eysk of the A1 GMDSS marine area with IMO Resolution A.801(19) and requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia No. 226 as of 23.07.2015.

The coastal station was put into operation in 2000 and in 2004 transferred to the economic management of FSUE "Rosmorport".

In the period from 2000 to the present, the coastal station has successfully passed the certification for compliance with the current requirements for the operation of this equipment 5 times.

In 2018 the Eysk department of FSUE "Rosmorport" Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch carried out a technical re-equipment of the equipment of the communications control center and Eysk base radio station, during which new VHF antennas, remotely controlled transceivers, universal digital selective calling modems were installed, software for operator's workstations. Implementation of the planned measures made it possible to increase the operational reliability of Eysk base radio station and the communications control center.

Coastal station Eysk of the sea area A1 GMDSS consists of a communications control center located on the territory of Eysk seaport, Eysk base radio station located on the territory of Eysk seaport, with a range of 23 nautical miles, Kosa Dolga base radio station located on the Dolgaya spit, with a range of 25 nautical miles, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk base radio station, located in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, with a range of 25 nautical miles.

With the help of coastal station Eysk of the sea area A1 GMDSS the following is carried out:
- maintaining a continuous radio watch and radio communication with vessels in the VHF range using digital selective calling and radiotelephony;
- operational communication between vessels and marine rescue and coordination center of the FSBI "Azov Sea Ports Administration" for the organization of search and rescue operations;
- automatic execution of distress, urgency and security call processing procedures using digital selective call technology with vessels in the eastern area of Azov Sea and Taganrog Bay.
