During his speech Yevgeny Karpachev spoke about the implementation of the main projects for the construction of port facilities in the seaports of the Black Sea region, where the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch operates.

In particular, he recalled that in December 2018, the branch began implementation of a large-scale project of coastal and maritime infrastructure complex in the Gelendzhik seaport. Within the framework of this project, it is planned to create the artificial land plot, the construction of fencing moths with a marina capable of receiving up to 250 yachts, as well as a passenger berth designed to receive passenger ships up to 142.1 meters length, 21.9 meters width and 5.9 meters draft, a berth of harbor vessels, a passenger terminal and other engineering facilities of the Gelendzhik seaport. Currently, there is undergoing maintenance on the construction of hydraulic structures. It is expected that the project will be completed in 2021.

In his report Yevgeny Karpachev also discussed promising projects relating to the development of port infrastructure in the Novorossiysk seaport. In particular, it is planned to carry out overhaul of the Western Pier (its underwater part and sea running level zone), and then, in accordance with the recommendations of the integrated engineering surveys, there will be considered the issue of protective outline construction along the Western Pier from the sea side, which will extend the service life and ensure the durability and reliability of this hydraulic structure. Later it is also planned to implement a project on building berths for the auxiliary fleet along the Western Pier of 250 meters length, which will provide the parking space for about 15 tugboats, including the branch's own fleet. The project documentation received a positive opinion from the state environmental expertise and state expertise of Federal Autonomous Institution "Main Department of State Expertise" and, subject to the allocation of the necessary funding, the project is expected to begin in 2021.

During his speech Evgeny Karpachev also informed the participants about infrastructure development plans in the Caucasus seaport, where after resolving land removal issues, it is planned to develop a project for the reconstruction of pier No. 3 of the ferry crossing; in the Tuapse seaport, where the branch is overhauling berth No. 7 "A", which is part of the city embankment, and it is planned to reconstruct the water area of berths No. 9 and No. 10, as well as in the Sochi seaport, where the design of the reconstruction of berths No. 10 and No. 11 is completed.

In general, the forum participants assessed the state and prospects of the logistics and transportation market in the Azov-Black Sea and Caspian Regions, outlined survival strategies and predicted growth points in the context of crisis phenomena in the economy.
