Information on the seaport of Kavkaz in the Register of Russian Seaports changed

Under Rosmorrechflot Resolution No. NZh-122-r of April 19, 2018, the changes have been made to data on the seaport of Kavkaz in the Register of Russian Seaports.

The corrections are related to changing the area of the water zone of the seaport of Kavkaz. The corrections are conditioned by Decree No. 2372-r of October 27, 2017, which was earlier adopted by the Russian government to change the boundaries of the seaport of Kavkaz.

In parallel the register for the seaport of Kavkaz has increased the number of berths and the length of the berth wall of berths in the seaport and hence key technical characteristics of the seaport in respect of the capacity of cargo terminals. These changes are linked with putting into operation the earlier built berths – Berth No 24 and Berth No. 25 designed for transshipping general and bulk cargoes with total designed power of over 1.7 million tons per year on which vessels of 138 meters in length, 16.7 meters in breadth and 3.6 meters in load draught can be serviced.

Under the Rosmorrechflot resolution, the register also specifies the names and location of the administration of the seaport and operators of sea terminals in the seaport of Kavkaz.

For reference

The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch has four berths in the seaport of Kavkaz which amounts to 40% of the total number of berths in the seaport. The length of the berth wall of the enterprise’s berths is 818 meters which amounts to 60.7% of the total length of the berth wall in the seaport of Kavkaz.

Following the results of six months of the year 2018, about 4.8 million tons of cargoes have been transshipped on the branch’s berths leased out to operators of sea terminals,  which amounts to 24.3% of total transshipment in the seaport of Kavkaz.
