Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch takes part in XV jubilee international transport forum “SouthTrans-2019”
The XV international transport forum “SouthTrans-2019” was held in Gelendzhik on March 21-22, 2019. The forum was attended by representatives of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch.
The participants in the forum, which involved representatives of state authorities, Russian and foreign transport organizations, heads of stevedoring companies and commercial associations, discussed the dynamic development of and prospects for developing the southern seaports of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin, and the state of the transport and logistic system of Russia’s South as a whole.
Discussions of the forum session “The Analysis of Russia’s South Transport Infrastructure: Southern Ports” focused on the implementation of the comprehensive plan for modernizing and expanding the trunk infrastructure for the period up to 2024, the development of Russia’s South ports, the growth of the region’s investment attractiveness, international trade and economic cooperation and the optimization of customs administration. Special attention was paid to considering projects for developing the infrastructure of the seaport of Novorossiysk under present-day conditions and in the next five years.
During brief presentations, the participants in the forum got acquainted with the particularities of complex transport service, the improvement of transportation technology of Russia’s southern ports and discussed the advantages and defaults of different logistic schemes of cargo transshipment through the Azovo-Chernomorsky and Caspian Sea regions.
The forum’s organizing committee has organized a visit for its participants to the Novomorsib LLC container terminal in the seaport of Novorossiysk.
