While taking compensation measures for water biological resources and their habitat after carrying out repair dredging operations in the seaport of Novorossiysk in 2017-2018 and repair excavation measures in the seaport of Novorossiysk in 2017-2027 young Russian sturgeons was released into the Kuban River lower the Krasnodar hydro system on July 11-12. The event was attended by representatives of government authorities.

Over 91.000 young Russian sturgeons of 2.5 grams in average weight were released into the river. Sturgeon had been produced by the specialized fish-breeding enterprise by order of the branch.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Branch spent over 3.5 million rubles to produce and release young Russian sturgeons.
