Aids to navigation facilities in Anapa, Tuapse Seaports given to Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch

Based on Resolution No 572-r of March 23, 2017 of the  Russia’s Federal Agency for State Property Management Territorial Directorate for Rostov Region on March four facilities of aids navigation in the seaports of Anapa and Tuapse have been assigned to FSUE “Rosmorport” and transferred under economic jurisdiction of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch on the basis of the right of economic management and pursuant to the FSUE “Rosmorport” Order No 132 of April 17, 2017.

In particular, the Anapa front lighted range and the Anapa back lighted range have been given to the Branch in the seaport of Anapa.

These lighted ranges were built in 1959. They are located on the eastern coast of Anapa Bay of 0.8 cable’s length from the embouchure of Anapka River. The range is designed for ensuring navigation safety in the water area of Anapa Seaport and on the approaches toward it in the time of navigation on Recommended Track No 26. The range direction is between 277,9 degrees and 97,9 degrees.

The height of the front range from the base makes up eight meters and the light height in sub-sea is of five meters. The height of the back range from the base makes up 14.1 meters and the light height in sub-sea is of 14 meters. The distance of visibility of light at night makes up four nautical miles.

The Azovo-Chermonorsky Basin Branch has come into possession of the Boot Basin marine light and the Southern Breakwater marine light in the seaport of Tuapse.

The Boot Basin marine light was built in 1965 and the Southern Breakwater marine light was constructed in 2007. The Boot Basin marine light is located at the boot basin stone breakwater end in the water area of Tuapse Seaport, at the coast of Tuapse Bay peak of 4.5 cable’s length north-west to the Southern Breakwater end. The Southern Breakwater marine light has been installed at the Southern Breakwater end when entering the interior operational water area of Tuapse Seaport.

These navigating lights are also designed for ensuring navigation safety in the water area of Tuapse Seaport and indicate the ends of the boot basin stone breakwater and the southern breakwater water area.

The height of the Boot Basin marine light from the base makes up three meters and the light height in sub-sea is of five meters in which the distance of visibility of light at night makes up one nautical miles. For its turn, the height of the Southern Breakwater marine light from the base makes up seven meters and the light height in sub-sea is of 12 meters. The distance of visibility of light at night makes up to two nautical miles.

Before these facilities have been assigned to FSUE “Rosmorport” their service and maintenance was made by the Black Sea Fleet Hydraugraphic Office. The current technical condition of facilities is satisfactory.
