Under FSUE “Rosmorport” Order No 215 of June 08, 2017 the new Bospor workboat with ice strengthening, project ST23WI-M, has been given to the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch.

Under the order of FSUE “Rosmorpor” the vessel has been built at CJSC “Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant” (Petrozavodsk, Russia).

The workboat has become the third pilot's vessel, that the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch uses, and the 50^th vessel of the Branch's fleet.

Navigational performance allows it to operate in complex meteorological conditions in the seas higher than 3.5 m. The ice strengthening allows the boat to be used in ice brush that corresponds to the Ice 2 ice class.

The vessel has diesel engines, which are modern, and energy-efficient as well. They give an opportunity to reduce the Branch's operational expenditure for the purpose of operative and timely delivery of pilots aboard vessels. In addition, in order to improve course-keeping qualities a maneuvering propulsion device has been installed on the vessel. The device helps increase maneuverability accuracy of the vessel in the process of mooring and maneuvering in confined waters.

The Bospor boat will be used by the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch in the seaport of Novorossiysk to embark and disembark pilots aboard vessels making calls at the seaport.
