Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Takes Part in the XIII International Transport Forum “YugTrans-2017”

During the period from March 16 to March 17, 2017 Gelendzhik hosted the XIII International Forum “YugTrans-2017” where Navigation Safety Deputy Director of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Sergey Zaryaev took part.

Every year the forum assembles the representatives of the state authorities, government agencies and Russian and foreign transport organizations in order to find efficient development directions for the transport and logistics complex of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch as well as to execute a large-scale infrastructure projects on the development and modernization of the ports and transport infrastructure of the region. 

Forum participants actively discussed the issues related to the dynamics and perspectives of the development of the south seaports, transport and logistics system condition in the South of Russia in the whole. Special attention was given to the review of the Novorossiisk Seaport infrastructure development project as well as to the Kerchensky ferry crossing operation.

During one of the two round-table forum discussions the participants exchanged the views on the current situation, existing issues as well as the perspectives for the enhancement of the sea checkpoint through the state boundary of the Russian Federation in the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin, discussed the need to attract private investments for their development.

As part of the work program the arrangement committee of the forum organized a professional excursion for its participants to the Novorossiisk Seaport to introduce them with the operation of the port technological complexes that process liquid cargo.
