Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Fleet Replenishment

In accordance with FSUE “Rosmorport” Order No. 587 dated 29.11.2016, new Bata workboat was transferred to the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch.

The vessel of ST23WIM was constructed under the FSUE “Rosmorport” Order on the Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant in August 2016. The boat has successfully passed running trials on the Petrozavodsky Bay water area of the Onega Lake. In November 2016, under its own power the vessel, having passed across inner water ways and the Azov sea over 3.5 thousand miles for 15 days, performed transition from Petrozavodsk to the seaport of Temryuk.

This vessel became the 4th mark boat and the 14th vessel in the Taman Department fleet.

The distinctive feature of Bata workboats with “ICE 2” ice class is that it is able to navigate in fine ice with thickness up to 20 cm.

The Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch plans to use the boat for the Branch pilots delivery to and removal from vessels, as well as for pilotage escort on the waterways in the water areas and on the approaches to the seaports of Caucasus, Taman and Temryuk.

Besides, the vessel will be involved in rescue operations, patrolling of water areas, as well as for delivery of crew members and supplies to vessels.
