New Vessel in Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch

In December 2013 FSUE “Rosmorport” purchased the Elbrus crew boat and placed her under the operational management of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch.

The crew boat was transported to the Novorossiysk Seaport, which is her home port, on January 15, 2014 by the Accum motor boat from the Seaport of Genova (Italy).

The vessel will be used by the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch for purposes of delivery of the government commissions’ members, ship crews and pilots of the branch to the vessels, maintenance of floating navigation equipment at the Seaport of Novorossiysk water area, as well as during the search and rescue operations at sea and for other purposes.

At present the Elbrus crew boat, having performed the sail on her own, have come to the Sochi Seaport. Till the middle of March the vessel will be used by the Sochi Branch as the auxiliary vessel in the Sochi Seaport.

The Elbrus crew boat was named after the so named composite volcano – the highest mountain peak in Europe located in the Russian Federation, on the border of the Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia republics.

The vessel was built in the UK in 2008 by “MY WAY” shipbuilding company.
