Novorossiysk Seaport Boundaries Amended

By Government of Russia Order dated 15.07.2013 No. 1230-r boundaries of the Seaport of Novorossiysk territory were amended.

Changes were associated with the accession to the seaport of Novorossiysk the territory of the land plots near Tsemess Bay Penay Cape, where a private investor plans to build a marine terminal for transshipment of light and dark oil products.

Realization of the planned project will not only increase the number of ship calls in the Seaport of Novorossiysk but also aims to strengthen the capacity of Russia to export oil through the seaports on the Black Sea, as the design capacity of the marine terminal is projected to reach 11 million tons of liquid cargo per year.

For information:
At the end of 2012 on the FSUE "Rosmorport" Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch berths in the Seaport of Novorossiysk, rented out to stevedoring companies, nearly 55.6 million tons of liquid cargo (oil, oil products, food and liquid cargo) were handled, which is 64.5% of the total volume of liquid cargo handling in the Seaport of Novorossiysk last year.
