In accordance with Federal Marine and River Transport Agency order dated 3.08.2012 №АД-200-р, amendments are made into the information on Taman seaport in the Registry of Seaports of the Russian Federation. These amendments are related to the fact that in 2012 berths #3 and #4 were put into operation in Taman seaport as part of the sea terminal for transshipment of corn cargo with the flowing capacity of 5.6 million tons per year. The containers of the sea terminal can keep up to 84 thousand tons of corn cargo. The maximal dimensions of ships processed by LLC Zernovoy Terminal'ny Kompleks at the berths of the sea terminal reach 225 meters in length, 32.3 meteres in width, 12.1 meters in draught.

The seaport of Taman is one of the "young" seaports of the Russian Federation. it was opened in 2009 by Ministry of Transport order dated 23.09.2009 №169. Nevretheless, in 2011 the total transshipment volume in the seaport already exceeded 1.2 million tons.

The Taman Department of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch renders  pilotage services, and navigation services with the use of the Regional VTS of the Kerch Strait in the seaport of Taman to vessels calling at this seaport.
