On April 12, 2023, representatives of FSUE “Rosmorport” Murmansk Branch, headed by Nikolai Zelenkov, Deputy Director for Navigation Safety of the Murmansk Branch, attended a solemn event at the Murmansk Branch of the Federal State-Financed Educational Institution of Higher Education «Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping» on the occasion of the opening the newest simulator complex for training boatmasters at the educational institution.

The new simulator includes an instructor's workstation and 4 workstations of trainees in the form of bridges of transport vessels. With the use of the simulator, it becomes possible to simulate the movement of about 30 types of vessels in 47 sea navigation areas.

The new navigation classroom is also equipped with chart tables with the necessary tools, educational posters, a multimedia projector and an interactive whiteboard for demonstration and analysis of exercises.

All this will allow the boatmasters to master the techniques and work out their practical skills in preventing emergencies and improving the safety of navigation.

FSUE “Rosmorport” Murmansk Branch and the Murmansk Branch of the Federal State-Financed Educational Institution of Higher Education «Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping» are linked by long-term partnerships in the field of advanced training of employees of the enterprise’s Branch. With the commissioning of the simulator complex, the educational process of training specialists will reach a qualitatively new level.
