Automated radio technical post Obzor commissioned in the Kola Bay

In accordance with Resolution No. 51-RU 51301000-735-2022 dated March 16, 2022 of the Committee for Urban Planning and Territorial Development of the Murmansk Administration, the Obzor automated radio technical post has been put into operation.

The Obzor ARTP is integrated into the VTS of the Kola Bay and is designed to provide vessels with navigation safety services in the southern part of the Kola Bay. The commissioning of the post significantly increases the navigation safety level in the area of operation of the Kola Bay VTS.

The structure of the Obzor ARTP includes a tower with a height of 25.5 m, and a housing container, designed to accommodate technological and communication equipment.

The ARTP was constructed in the period from May 2020 to March 2021 at the expense of the enterprise's own funds.

The equipment installed at the Obzor ARTP allows for round-the-clock monitoring of the radar situation throughout the bay water area from the floating docks of the shipyard to the southern border of the seaport of Murmansk.

Earlier, the Obzor ARTP was examined by an authorized organization as part of the Kola Bay VTS. FSUE “Rosmorport” received a certificate of Rosmorrechflot No. VTS-3/1-3215-2021 dated April 21, 2021 on the Kola Bay VTS's compliance with the technical and operational requirements for VTS of highest category, established by Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation No. 226 dated July 23, 2015, and IMO Resolution 1158 (32).
