Pilots of Murmansk branch provide pilotage for two gas tankers in Kilda Strait

Pilots of Murmansk branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" on November 23-27, 2021 successfully conducted pilotage and installation on the temporary transshipment complex (TTC) of Clean Ocean (Marshall Islands flag) and Vladimir Voronin (Bahamas flag) gas tankers for performing liquefied natural gas (LNG) transshipment operation in Kilda Strait of the Barents Sea.

The complex, where the transshipment operation took place, was designed to provide transshipment of LNG from reinforced tankers of ARC7 ice-class arriving from the Russian Arctic to gas tankers of ARC4 ice-class with subsequent delivery to Europe.

Since the beginning of the year, this is the ninth transshipment of liquefied natural gas at this TTC. The first 8 transshipments were provided by pilots of the Murmansk branch in the period from January to April 2021 as part of the implementation of LNG transshipment under the vessel-to-vessel scheme in Kilda Strait of the Barents Sea.
