Novorossiysk Icebreaker Sets Out On Voyage To Frantz Josef Land Archipelago

On May 15, 2017 the Novorossiysk icebreaker assigned to the Murmansk Branch set out on a regular voyage to Frantz Josef Land Archipelago.

Within the planned events the icebreaker will deliver employees of the Russian Arctic National Park and special equipment to Graham Bell Island – the easternmost island of Frantz Josef Land Archipelago.

Simultaneously, the Novorossiysk icebreaker will provide icebreaker support for the Andrei Osipov motor vessel carrying cargoes such as accommodation modules and equipment, as well as passengers.

Upon completion of loading and unloading operations near Graham Bell Island the Novorossiysk icebreaker will return back to the seaport of Murmansk approximately in late May.
