Kapitan Dranitsyn Icebreaker Sets Sail

On May 8, 2016 Kapitan Dranitsyn icebreaker set sail in order to provide icebreaker support to vessels and perform unloading of general cargo on the fast ice of Alexandra Island of Franz Josef Land archipelago.

Also, during the voyage the icebreaker will transport over 100 passengers on board to the area of Alexandra Island and back.

The voyage will last approximately till early June 2016, after which Kapitan Dranitsyn comes back to Murmansk for supplies replenishment and goes to Saint Petersburg for scheduled repair.
