Second batch of young Russian sturgeon released into Sulak River

The Makhachkala Branch made the second release of over 126,000 young Russian sturgeon into Sulak River on August 6, 2018. The final release of young Russian sturgeon with the average weight of 4.1 g was held in the presence of representatives of state supervisory agencies.

These events were held by the Makhachkala Branch in order to compensate damage caused to water bioresources and their environment during dredging operations in the water area of the seaport of Makhachkala in 2015-2017.

With account for the earlier release, in total about 253,000 young Russian sturgeon produced by the specialized fishing enterprise on order of the Makhachkala Branch have been released into Sulak River.
