The communication and electroradionavigation service specialists of the Makhachkala Branch of the enterprise together with the staff of the Makhachkala Branch of Federal State Budgetary Institution “Maritime Port Administration of the Caspian Sea”, and crews of vessels of the FSUE “Makhachkala Sea Trading Port” on May 27, 2016 held a training session to ensure the safety of navigation in the Caspian Sea basin using technical means of communication.

The aim of the exercise was to simulate the ship's crew actions upon receipt of the alert, the vessels taking position at the points of dispersal and maintenance of buoyage. During the exercise there was trained alerting of ships in the Caspian Sea through VHF radio communication of the GMDSS communication control center of the Makhachkala Branch of the enterprise.
