On 28 April 2014 the FSUE “Rosmorport” Makhachkala Branch together with the FSUE “Administration of the Caspian Basin Seaports” Makhachkala Branch, and also the vessels of FSUE “Makhachkala Marine Trade Port” conducted joint exercise in order to rehearse the ship masters’ actions with communications equipment in case of threats to navigation.

The aim of the drill was to rehearse the ships’ crews actions in case of receipt of warning messages, actions for the ships to take certain positions and actions necessary for navigation. The exercise included transmission of message to vessels with the help of Makhachkala Seaport VTS, communications and electrical radio navigation equipment of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Makhachkala Branch, and also with the help of USB-communications.

Operators of the Makhachkala Seaport VTS of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Makhachkala Branch received an excellent mark according to the results of the exercise.
