Director of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Azov Basin Branch reports about the branch's readiness for the period of icebreaking assistance

Director of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Azov Basin Branch Andrei Vakhrushev took part in a regional meeting on preparations for the period of icebreaking assistance for vessels in the Russian seaports of the Azov Sea in 2021-2022. The videoconference meeting held on November 26, 2021 was chaired by Sergey Safonichev, head of the FSBI "AMP of the Azov Sea".

Andrei Vakhrushev made a report on the readiness of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Azov Basin Branch for the period of icebreaking assistance in 2021-2022. Director of the branch informed the participants of the meeting about the list and condition of the icebreaking fleet for the upcoming navigation. In particular, 6 icebreakers of the Azov Basin Branch which have passed all routine maintenance and repair activities and are in full technical readiness for the upcoming winter navigation period will provide icebreaking assistance for vessels in Russian seaports, operating year-round in the Azov Sea Basin, and on approaches to them.

At the meeting, Andrei Vakhrushev spoke about the measures the Azov Basin Branch carries out to ensure the flawless operation of navigation equipment in the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog. During the winter navigation period, 131 units of navigation equipment will be installed on navigation routes with a length of 113 km by the forces of the Azov Basin Branch and their flawless operation will be ensured.
