Director of the Azov Basin Branch participates in the opening of the grain terminal
Director of the Azov Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" Andrei Vakhrushev on July 2, 2021 took part in the grand opening of a new grain terminal with a design capacity of 1 million tons of grain cargo per year, built in the seaport of Rostov-on-Don.
The infrastructure project for the construction of the new port grain terminal is being carried out by Rostov Maritime Multimodal Port LLC.
As part of the implementation of the first stage of the project, a laboratory with mechanized sampling, three receiving lines for unloading vehicles, two unloading points for railway cars, eight warehouses for one-time storage of about 45.6 thousand tons of grain, two conveyor shipping lines, two loading towers and seven cone tanks were built on the territory of the grain terminal.
It is expected that the total capacity of one-time storage will be 141 thousand tons of grain cargo. The grain terminal can process 200 railway cars with grain every day. The speed of acceptance of grain cargo by rail will be 800 tons per hour, and delivered by road will be 600 tons per hour, while the speed of loading grain on sea vessels using the loading capacity of the terminal will be 800 tons per hour.
