Amendment of information on the seaport of Astrakhan in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation

The Rosmorrechflot Order No. BT-456-r of 23.11.2022 amended the information about the seaport of Astrakhan in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation.

The amendments are related to the clarification of the length of the moorage wall in the seaport of Astrakhan due to the excluded berth No. 3 for transshipment of petroleum products from the marine terminal register owing to its decommissioning, as well as the included mooring berth for transshipment of grain cargoes in the marine terminal register. This mooring berth with a length of 42.4 m is designed for vessels with a length of 30 m, a width of 9 m and a loadline draft of 3.5 m, with a estimated capacity of 350 thousand grain cargoes per year. The berth, built in 1991, was reconstructed and put into operation in February 2022. Thus, due to the change in the list of mooring berths, the length of the moorage wall in the seaport of Astrakhan has been reduced to approximately 5 km.

At the same time, the indicators of the terminal capacity in the seaport were adjusted due to the installation of high-tech equipment that accelerates cargo handling, as well as new values of the warehouse area in the seaport and indicators of the storage tank capacity were indicated.

In addition, the order of Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia clarified the list of operators of sea terminals conducting activities in the Astrakhan seaport.

For reference:

The FSUE “Rosmorport” Astrakhan branch has one mooring berth in the seaport of Astrakhan, which is 3.1 % of their total number. The length of the moorage wall of the branch's only berth in the seaport is 4.8 % of the total length of the moorage wall in the seaport.
