The fleet of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Astrakhan branch was replenished with two vessels

The fleet of the Astrakhan branch of the FSUE "Rosmorport" was replenished with a self-discharging sludge carrier Azovskaya of project R1650M and a sludge vessel Bolgradskaya of project 539.

Previously, the vessels were under the control of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch of the FSUE “Rosmorport” and, in accordance with the order of the FSUE “Rosmorport”, were transferred to the operational control of the Astrakhan Branch.

Due to reception of these vessels the dredging fleet of the Astrakhan branch increased up to 8 vessels, and now the branch operates 35 vessels for various purposes in total.

Vessels Azovskaya and Bolgradskaya are single-deck vessels with aft tophamper and engine space, with holds with a capacity of 600 cubic meters and 500 cubic meters respectively.

The hoppers are equipped with bottom doors (dump doors) for unloading soil into the underwater heap.

The Astrakhan branch plans to use the vessels for receiving, transporting and unloading bottom soil extracted during the operation of the self-propelled multi-bucket dredger North-West 503 during dredging operations in the water area of the Volga-Caspian shipping channel.
