The Astrakhan Branch Fleet Replenishment

Bumerang-2 pilot boat of RIB C-3500 project joined the Astrakhan Branch fleet.

It is the second boat of this class, which was earlier operated by the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg for delivery and removal of pilots in the seaport water area, and now the boat has been transferred to the Astrakhan Branch.

In the seaport of Astrakhan water area the vessel will be used in order to ensure operation of the branch pilotage service.

Bumerang-2 pilot boat allows ensuring prompt delivery of pilots in difficult navigation conditions, in shallowness and tortuosity of the Volga-Caspian Sea shipping channel bed.

In the Atrakhan Branch fleet Bumerang-2 pilot boat became the 5th pilot boat and 23rd vessel in the Branch vessels list.

Bumerang-2 pilot boat of RIB C-3500 project was constructed in 2001 in Finland. In the period of 2001 to 2004 the vessel was used by SI “Seaports Administration Saint Petersburg”. From 2004 the vessel has been assigned to FSUE “Rosmorport” for economic management and is operated by the enterprise in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg.
