A crew boat joins the fleet of the Arkhangelsk branch

The FSUE “Rosmorport” Arkhangelsk Branch has acquired a new waterway maintenance boat “Briz”, which became the 19th vessel in the fleet of the branch.

The high-speed boat of the KS-820M project, built by Kostroma Shipbuilding Plant JSC, was transferred to the enterprise in December 2022.

The boat is a small vessel made of aluminum alloy, with an open deck and a closed pilot house located in the middle part of the vessel. There is an outboard motor abaft with a power of 220 kW, with one fixed pitch propeller.

A boat of the KS-820M type has optimal dimensions to perform the necessary work. The hull reduces the risks of damages due to slamming during long-time crossings and approaches to an unequipped shore for servicing coastal navigation equipment, as well as during operation in the autumn period when negative temperatures occur. The possibility of mooring to the vessel for the pilot disembarkation is ensured by a PVC safety fence along the perimeter of the hull and removable breasting fenders. The ergonomic shape of the seats create comfortable conditions for the crew and staff. The boat has two sleeping accommodations and a spacious walk-through pilot house with free access to both fore and aft. Panoramic glazing of the pilot house provides the crew with a large viewing angle.

The Arkhangelsk branch plans to use the boat “Briz” for serving waterways, navigation equipment, performing surveying work and delivering pilots to ships in the seaport of Naryan-Mar.
